Laudina Ahiable, MScPT

REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST

CLINIC DIRECTOR

PELVIC FLOOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST

CERTIFIED FUNCTIONAL DRY NEEDLING PRACTITIONER

Laudina Ahiable is a Registered Physiotherapist with advanced training in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy (also known as Pelvic Health Physiotherapy) and Functional Dry Needling. She is dedicated to empowering her patients with the tools and knowledge to improve their quality of life.

After earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Winnipeg, she pursued a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy (MScPT) from the University of Alberta.

Laudina has practiced in various physiotherapy clinical settings in Alberta for years before relocating to practice in Ontario.

With a wealth of expertise built over several years of experience, Laudina has assessed and treated a diverse range of injuries, including musculoskeletal and athletic injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological and pelvic floor dysfunction, and more.

She has a particular interest in managing Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, which encompasses several conditions such as Urinary Incontinence, Overactive Bladder, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Pelvic Pain, Vaginismus, Dyspareunia, Diastasis Recti, pregnancy and postpartum-related conditions, and pelvic/lower back dysfunction.

As a mother who benefited from Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy firsthand during pregnancy and postpartum, Laudina has also experienced being a patient, so she can relate. Her aim is to be the bridge between women suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction and the quality treatment they deserve.

She believes that evidence-based therapy, coupled with exercise therapy and hands-on treatment, is crucial for ensuring optimal patient recovery.

Laudina’s treatment philosophy combines several methods, such as manual therapy techniques, personalized treatment plans, patient education, and modalities to treat both the underlying cause and symptoms of a patient’s condition.

Her objective is to establish a productive partnership between the patient and therapist to identify the patient’s goals and restore optimal body function, as well as enhance their quality of life.

In her personal life, Laudina cherishes spending quality time with her young son and husband. In her leisure time, she enjoys discovering novel dining venues, particularly those with spicy cuisine, taking strolls, and indulging in movies and TV series.
